About Blacks Beach Tavern
The Tavern is located on Mackay’s northern beaches region and is walking distance to the beach and nearby Camping and Caravan grounds.
Residents of Blacks Beach Cove are a friendly bunch and you will find the staff made up of locals ready to pour you a drink or offer tips on the current fishing spots. The Hotel has 2 bars, Free Wi Fi, 45 gaming machines and a large drive thru bottle shop. The Hotel is a favorite watering hole for locals, offering good quality, good value, old fashioned hospitality. Enjoy our events, live entertainment, VIP member rewards, karaoke, social evenings, pool competitions and Friday and Saturday nights with DJs, bands or disco – it’s the place to be in Mackay.
Our public bar features 4 large TVs perfect for watching sport or the races whilst having a punt and enjoying the coldest beer in town. The bistro and bar menu, with our chefs’ specialties from the grill, will satisfy any hunger. Or if it’s a quick stop for lunch, our specials menu has plenty of low cost, good value and tasty options.
The Drive Through is well stocked with a huge range of beverages all supported by our affiliate C Q Liquor Group bringing discounted and special prices to Central Queensland.

Dining at Blackwater Hotel
ONO’s at Blacks Beach Tavern is a family friendly relaxed Bistro. Dine inside in air conditioned comfort or Al Fresco adjacent our Lawn Area. From the Al Fresco dining area you can also observe your children in the Children’s playground area.
The Menu is prepared fresh daily featuring succulent quality MSA Grade Cuts of Beef through our Highlands Choice brand. The Steaks are cooked to your liking on our open grill.
In addition to all of your favourites and Pub Classics on the menu, there are Specialty Pizzas cooked in our Wood Fired Oven plus additional options to provide for all tastes including daily Chef Creations and Specials or “Challenges”. The Kids menu is also a hit with children’s activity, ice-cream and soft drink package.
The daily Lunch Specials are also popular, plus inexpensive and provide quick and tasty meals for any time poor traveler or worker. Or book in and spoil the family for the huge Buffet Breakfast Feast. Check with staff to confirm times.

Our Bars at Blacks Beach Tavern are there to serve you brewery fresh cold, clean beer through our glycol lines. Our staff mixologists are ready for any cocktail or spirit you may wish to have.
Each Bar has entertainment. There are large screen TV’s for Sport or Entertainment plus Keno. The Public Bar has full TAB facilities and display screens including Sky Channel. There are Pool Tables and the Nightlife Jukebox system for any choice of music taste.
